Together, the lights testify to change children's lives! And this is where YOU play a role, as every light is sponsored by a friend!
At Jan Kriel School there are over 500 children, like Wouter Smit, who know many difficulties and the more challenging side of life. Here, an environment is created where everyone is supported to overcome obstacles, stay motivated and never give up. This is celebrated annually with a 'Tree of Lights’ event.

Jan Kriel learners celebrate with a concert to say THANK YOU to teachers, parents, family, friends and donors. A special tree is hung full of lights (almost 10 000!) and each light testifies of a chance given to a child. Every light is sponsored by a friend and that's where YOU play a part! Your sponsored light covers the extra costs for helping Jan Kriel's children.
That's why I ask nicely, for the sake of every vulnerable child at Jan Kriel, if you will please sponsor a light on our `Tree of Lights’ this year? One light only costs R100, so you can even sponsor more than one!
