Grade 6 Natural Sciences and Technology Project
Our Grade 6 learners designed and built water filters using recycled materials and created their own unique labels for their filters. After testing them, the learners used the filtered water to water the trees on our playground. Nasr keeps on rising
Recipient of the Karel Kriel Scholarship 2024, Nasr Esau, is currently pursuing a degree in Education at UWC. He received the ‘Dean’s Merit List Award’ for his accomplishments during his 2025 studies. Nasr was also selected as part of the USSA (University Sport South Africa) Selected National Team at the upcoming CUCSA (Confederation of University and College Sports Association) Games, to be held in Botswana 28 June - 5 July 2026. Application process
Dr Mariette van Niekerk is the Head Psychologist for the Inclusive Education team, which supports learners in mainstream schools. Learners identified for additional support start their application process at the mainstream school where the learner is currently placed and follow the WCED SIAS process. SIAS documents and supporting documentation (e.g. reports from educators, therapists, psychologists, medics and other professional role players) are attached, submitted directly


Motivational Chase
Chase Windshaw, Grade 11, was born with spastic quadriplegic high tone Cerebral Palsy. After years of hard work he has gained movement of his arms and upper body. This year he has done a number of motivational speeches for schools and companies, alongside the likes of Bryan Habanna. Culture Evenings
Our high school and primary school learners brought the stage to life with singing, drama, music and various cultural items. Every learner who participated shared their talents with confidence and pride and it was wonderful to see Jan Krielskool's culture blossom. Many thanks to all the parents, staff and supporters who made the evening possible. A special word of appreciation to every learner who put in hours of preparation and hard work put in - you make us proud!


SA Athletics
We are very proud of four of our learners who participated in the SA Schools Athletics meet at the Pilditch Stadium in Pretoria. Luke Visser (Javing), Kiara Crous (Shot Put & Discus), Zoey Jordaan (100m, 200m & Long Jump) and Mia Smith (Long Jump) worked hard to get there and competed with determination. Kiara won gold, Zoey won gold and silver as well as a new SA schools record and Mia won bronze. CONGRATULATIONS!


Craven week players
We are incredibly proud to announce that three of our rugby players have been selected for the WP LSEN Craven Week team! - Yusuf Hannibal - Benir de Villiers - Denzel Cordon These talented boys will be touring East London during the June holidays to participate in the prestigious Craven Week tournament.
