A mug of memories
As our Grade 12 Kiewiet hostel learners approach the final stages of their hostel journey, Mr Snyder, their koshuisvader, surprised them with a special keepsake: a mug to remember their time in Kiewiet.
More than just a cup, it is a small reminder of the friendships formed, the memories made, the lessons learnt and the experiences shared within the hostel walls. As these young men prepare to close this chapter and begin a new journey, may it always remind them of the place they called home and the people who became part of their story.
A BIG THANK YOU to every person who has played a part in these young men’s lives throughout their time in the hostel. Whether through guidance, encouragement, support, discipline, kindness or simply being there when they needed someone, you have all helped shape the young men they are becoming. The impact you have made goes far beyond the hostel walls, and the role you have played in their journey will always be part of their story.
As they prepare to spread their wings and take on the next chapter of their lives, may they carry the lessons, friendships and memories of Kiewiet with them wherever life takes them.
