Although Jan Kriel School started in 1937 as a care facility for learners with epilepsy, over years the need grew to support learners with other learning disabilities as well. This year, Jan Kriel accommodates learners with the following needs:

Together with teachers and assistants, donor contributions support physical-, speech-
and occupational therapists as well as psychologists, social workers and nurses to meet these needs.
