Impressive! Jan Kriel House Athletics

Jan Kriel’s annual Athletics Day is always a highlight of the first semester. Cool weather and good spirit inspired learners to give it their all for both track- and field events. 

Although many learners competed in certain events for the first time, their determination was clearly visible. Sportsmanship and friendship was evident as classmates supported each other, even if they were competing in opposite teams.

The Matric class of 2025 followed tradition completing one lap together as a group... but in the opposite direction! Even physically disabled and wheelchair-learners completed the entire 400m circuit. 

A huge congratulations to Team Weltevrede for winning the day, taking home both the Spirit Cup and the Athletics Cup! Well done to all our staff, participants and supporters who made this day a success.

The perseverance and passion on display proved once again that Jan Kriel-learners are unstoppable!
