Jan Kriel shines on the national stage!

Eight of our star athletes proudly took part in the National High School LSEN Athletics Championships – and what a spectacular performance it was! The team departed by plane on 1 April, with some only returning on 6 April.

Medal haul:

6x Gold

1x Silver

1x Bronze



The competition was tough, but our athletes gave it their all and represented both the Western Cape and Jan Kriel with pride!


Each athlete received a Western Cape emblem and certificate during the closing ceremony.

A special mention to Zoey, whose 4x100m relay team not only won gold, but also broke a South African record – she received a beautiful framed certificate to mark this achievement!

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible staff who, with love, hard work, and dedication, made this trip possible. Your support made all the difference!


And the cherry on top:

The Western Cape was crowned the winning province in the LSEN division!

What a proud moment! We are incredibly proud of every athlete – You are true champions and an inspiration to us all!
