Safety First

In 2021, as part of the LOGO Learning Centre building project, the school building and classrooms were updated in terms of fire safety standards.

Jan Kriel Institute has also determined that the fire safety standards in hostels are of great importance. Upgrades started in May 2023 and includes exit doors, smoke detectors, alarms and equipment. These upgrades come at great financial cost, but have been made possible through the support of our donors.

As Jan Kriel School celebrated its 86th birthday this year and have buildings dating back to 1950, this upgrade is not only necessary but very important. Not many schools have the privilege of supportive donors who carry our learner's educational and safety interest at heart.
